Questions about pricing
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your trial lasts 30 days, and you don’t need a card to start it. To keep going, add a payment method in your dashboard before it ends. Your first payment is taken when the trial ends, for the plan and billing period you chose.
If you don’t, your church’s site pauses: visitors see a short notice instead of your sermons. Your sermons, notes and settings are kept for 30 days, so you can subscribe and pick up where you left off.
What counts as a Selah answer?
Each question Selah answers on your church’s site counts as one, follow-up questions included. Find moments, sermon notes and transcripts don’t count, and neither does a question Selah couldn’t answer because something went wrong. On Multisite, your sites share the plan’s 10,000 answers a month.
What happens if we use all of the month’s Selah answers?
Selah pauses until your next month begins, and tells anyone who tries it, calmly, the date it will be back. Everything else keeps working: sermons, notes, transcripts and Find moments. There are no extra charges. Your month runs from your billing day, and if you often reach the limit, you can move to a bigger plan at any time once a payment method is on file.
Can we change plans?
Yes. From your dashboard you can change plans, or switch between monthly and yearly billing, at any time once a payment method is on file, during your free trial too. A bigger plan starts right away, and you pay only the difference for the rest of your billing period. A smaller plan starts at your next renewal.
How do we cancel?
From your dashboard, at any time, with no fee and no call. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and then it doesn’t renew.
An owner can download an export of your church’s sermons, notes, transcripts and series whenever you like, including for 30 days after your subscription ends. After that, we delete your church’s data. Our terms have the details.
Do prices include tax?
No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Where sales tax applies, such as GST or HST in Canada, it’s added when you pay and shown separately on your invoice.
What currency do you charge in?
Canadian dollars (CAD), wherever your church is. If you pay with a card in another currency, your card provider converts the amount and may charge a fee for it.
Can our treasurer get receipts and invoices?
Yes. Every payment comes with a receipt by email, and you can download each invoice from your dashboard, with taxes shown separately, for your treasurer or bookkeeper.
Do our members need an account?
No. Your church’s site is open to anyone, with no logins. Only your staff sign in, and every plan includes unlimited staff seats.
What if we have more than 5 campuses?
Talk to us. We’ll work out one agreement for all of your sites, as we do for denominations and networks.
What if our sermons aren’t on YouTube?
Sown works with YouTube today. If your sermons live somewhere else, tell us: it helps us decide what to support next.
